About Sparrows

Sparrows Cafe opened on the 18th of December 2010 with the aim of being the only “Hole in the wall cafe” west of Ballarat. Flooded on the 14 January 2011 and reopened on the 21st January 2011.

We have been working on what we do and how to do it and so with growing support from the travelers on the Western Highway and the lovely locals of Beaufort we will be here for many years to come.

Sparrows cafe is run by Heather and Cameron

Cameron as worked in the hospitality industry all his adult life. Apprentice chef to a twelve year stint as a fruitier at the Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne, “Stall 83 It all about flavor!”.  As well as a few adventures and misadventures in between.

In may each year you can find Cameron wandering along the treed lined lane-ways of the Mornington peninsular picking mushrooms and taking mushroom picking tours

Heather and Cameron also grow garlic, vegetables, dream of gabions and chicken tractors while enjoying their time off.

Heather says if you want to know anything about her you will have to come and ask.
